Before I talk about day 2, I must bring you up-to-date on the events of Wednesday night’s kick off party! As you all know the theme this year is GROW. The five of us got creative and appeared at the party as Mary, Mary, Quite Cotrary and her four Pretty Maidens all in a row (with a hoe!) LOL Here we are:
WOW! What a day! I can hardly believe the “surprises” that SU! had for us! The FREE product, the unveiling of the Holiday Mini Catalog, and the announcement and display of NEW products!!!!
So far out of our group of five, two of them (40%) have won FREE stuff through the Prize Patrol! Today we arrived at the convention center at 8:00 AM to attend General Session. It was amazing! We were able to see some of the highlights of the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog and every one of us was treated to a full package of eight mini catalogs to take home with us!!! In the afternoon General Session we enjoyed an awesome presentation from Sara Douglas (Shelli’s daughter). Her focus was created easy and inexpensive projects. It was great! Following Sara’s presentation, she brought her oldest daughter, Sydney, to the stage. Here is a photo of Sara & Sydney:
Sydney got the honor of giving away free product to ALL of us!! Here I am holding my Simply Sent card kit that they gave us!
After an exciting General Session, we went back to our hotel room and enjoyed some fabulous take out from P. F. Changs before the awards ceremony.
What a hoot dressing for the awards. If you could have been here you would not have believed it! I bought a new dress here in Utah to wear for awards night; however, it needed a belt of some sort. I bought a long necklace thinking I could use it as a belt; however, much to our dismay it didn’t work. I wound up just wearing the necklace as it was intended.
We went to the convention center and I just hoped for the best. When they got to the Demonstrator of the Year category, they start at number 100 and work backwards to number 1. Just so you have a point of reference, in 2009 I was #97. Last year, 2010, I was #88. I hoped that this year I would at least be at #88.
For those of you that don’t know about Demo of the Year….. Stampin’ Up! rewards the top 100 demonstrators each year. There are more than 40,000 demonstrators in the United States so being in the top 100 is unbelievable to me! So without further adieu…………… I WAS #66 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here I am on stage after being announced!
What an amazing night! I don’t know if I will even be able to sleep! While I have everyone’s attention, I want to tell you how thankful I am for ALL of YOU!!! I LOVE what I do! I LOVE sharing my creations with you! Thank you all for letting me share with you! I definitely couldn’t have done it without all of you!
Here are some project highlights from convention so far!
OMG! #66 out of 40,000! You are something! Have a great time and bask in the glory – you damn well earned it with all your hard work and enthusiasm for S/U.
HUGS!
