What an awesome event! I am over joyed with the generosity of my friends, customers, and new stampers that joined me in raising funds for the Joiner Family on Saturday, April 6th! The final number is not in but I know that I was able to raise more than $600 for this family! For those of you reading this for the first time, one of our students, Katie – a 6th grader at our school – was diagnosed recently with Ewing Sarcoma (bone cancer) in her leg. She is undergoing treatments in Boston, MA and her family has been hit emotionally and financially, of course! I thought I would share some photos of the day with you all!
Above you can see that we set up a display table with lots of samples for the stampers to see and photograph! Our raffle table was AWESOME! We had lots of stamping gear as well as some non stamping items donated by teachers from the school (Erica, Kathy, and myself). I got the surprise of a lifetime too! Yes this is a grown man stamping at the event! This is not just any man….believe it or not he was one of my college professors when I attended Nichols College many years ago! What a great surprise this was! His daughter in law actually works with me! lol
We had students, teachers, staff, and even Katie’s grandma came and stamped!
A special thank you to Nina and Rachel for helping me through it! I could not have done it without you amazing gals! You are the BEST!
It was great to help out with this event! Thanks to everyone for supporting this cause!
