Meanwhile, I thought I would share a bit of what we have been doing so far.  On Tuesday my little group and I spent the day touring the Utah Olympic Park in Park City, Utah.  We were able to watch the freestyle and Nordic ski jumpers training in both a specialized jump/pool and on the actual jumps they use in the Olympics!  I was amazing!  Of course watching all of the action caused the adrenaline for some of us to flair up and we had to get in on some action!  While at the park we found they had an extreme zip line….. OF COURSE I DID!!

This is Mel and I getting geared up and ready to go!  I’m wearing a GoPro camera so that I could catch all the live action!  (video posted below!)

After spending some time at the Olympic Park we ventured to the Kennecott Copper Mine/Bingham Canyon.  OMG!  What an adventure.  In 2013 the area suffered a landslide.  As a result the visitor road, visitor’s center, and gift shops were wiped out.  That means that most people do NOT get to see the mine/canyon….NOT US!  We ventured 10,000 feet up, about 10 miles drive, on a road definitely NOT fit for travel.  It became a single lane, gravel, hairpin turned, very scary adventure…but we made it!

Yes, we survived and lived to tell about it!  After getting ourselves back to the hotel, we ventured for dinner to Christopher’s Prime Steak House.

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post for our next day of convention fun!!!
