Although I didn’t find the shirt is this photo very attractive, I must say that I did enjoy the colors for this week’s challenge!

  • Blushing Bride
  • Perfect Plum
  • Soft Suede
  • Concord Crush
  • Very Vanilla
Do you all realize that two of these colors will be retiring on May 31, 2012????  That’s right, we will have 5 colors that will leave us and 5 colors that will be introduced for a two year period.  Both Blushing Bride and Concord Crush are among those that are leaving us!  In addition we will lose – Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, and Peach Parfait!  I am advising you all that if you want to stock up on these colors, you need to do so ASAP because once they are out of stock — they are gone!!

Here is my project for the color challenge!  I used the very vanilla for both the card base and the focal point.  My second layer is concord crush with a little texturing from the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  I small third layer of perfect plum also embossed with the polka dots was also punched with the scallop cut out border punch.  I couldn’t resist a bit of the blushing bride ribbon (which will also be retiring).  I added a few of our paper daisies to give the project the finishing touches I was looking for.  I colored two of the smaller flowers with my blushing bride marvelous marker and added a small pearl to the center of each.  The larger flower has one of our beautiful twitterpated buttons – also in blushing bride!  The layer under the focal point is where I snuck in the soft suede!

How about sharing your projects with me!  Keep your eyes peeled because I will be having another color challenge for you all!  Remember, you could win a stamp set of your choice!!!

……………………. Until tomorrow!
