Hey everyone!  I know you are probably thinking, “How can you possibly think of Christmas when it is only July?”!   lol  I know it seems a bit early; however, in my world it is time to be planning my holiday card and home decor classes.  Over the course of the season, I will will cut and prepare for more than 1,000 Christmas cards!!  That’s right! Over 1,000!!  If I don’t start now, I will never be ready for the holiday!

Our theme this month is Christmas in July.  I hope that you are all inspired by the amazing creativity of our fabulous group of blog hoppers!  If you came here from Judy’s site, welcome!  If you are joining me from Lee’s site, I welcome you too!  For those that are my regular followers, be sure to go through the hop and see the great projects that we have for you at each site!

My project showcases one of our incredible background stamps, “Hardwood” and the set called “Wondrous Wreath” which coordinates with the Sizzix Framelits called “Wonderful Wreath“.

It is constructed on a Very Vanilla base (5-1/2 x 8-1/2) and then a layer of Cherry Cobbler (4 x 5-1/4″).  It is stamped with the Hardwood stamp in Chocolate Chip ink.  The panels of the “door” were cut free hand (into rectangles) and sponged with the chocolate chip ink on the edges to give it some depth. The panels are mounted with dimensionals.  The door “knob” is made from one of our neutral candy dots!

This is an easily reproducible card and would not be a problem to make in large quantities!  I hope you have enjoyed visiting my site and are inspired to get your projects started for Christmas!  Now jump on over to Lee’s site and continue on the “Joyous” blog hop!
