Before I share today’s card with you, I need to give a HUGE thank you to all of my friends and supporters! Several weeks ago, I had a fundraising stamp camp to raise money for a friend and colleague, Ali. I wasn’t quite sure how it would go, as not everyone knows her. I guess it just goes to show that my awesome friends and customers don’t have to know someone in order to reach out and help!
Ali has been a very strong, courageous, and determined woman! She has been undergoing treatments for breast cancer (for the 2nd time), as well as treatments for cancer in her spinal fluid and bones! She has been confined to bed for the last 8 weeks; however, she is determined that she is going to be walking again very soon! Ali has six awesome children, 4 of which I have had the pleasure of having as students. That is six incredible reasons to keep fighting!
With the help and support of some of you, I was able to give her family a check for $500!!!! I can not thank you enough for all of your help and support! She was surprised and overcome with emotion that we would do that for her! ….. That’s what friends are for, right?!
