I know that it is Tuesday and time for another UDI Color Challenge. This week I used our color palette and create a card with special meaning.
Our colors for this week are:
- Basic Black
- Old Olive
- Always Artichoke
- Pear Pizzazz
It is with a VERY heavy heart, deep sadness, and real regret that inform you all the my dear friend, colleague, and the very FIRST member of the Stamp-Patty’s group, my friend Ali, has passed. I was able to spend three afternoons with her this past week and I had no idea the end was that close! She and I shared many laughs, we of course talked about stamping, the upcoming new catalog, and me helping her sell her retired goods! You may recall that several weeks ago I held a fundraiser for her and her family. I was able to raise $500 at that event.
Ali was the mom of 6 awesome children! I have had the pleasure of being the teacher for 4 out of the 6 so far. She was married to her best friend, Chris, for almost 25 years. They were planning a special get away in October for their 25th anniversary. Words can not express how sad and disappointed I am that such a wonderful, loving, and much needed lady could be taken from us! May she be always remembered and cherished. I will be planing another fundraiser soon so that I can help her family with final expenses. I want to thank all of you for helping to help her and her family. You are the BEST friends I could ever ask for!

My deepest condolences on the loss of your good friend. The cards are beautiful. What a gift stamping can be, to have an avenue to express our inner most feelings and thoughts in a creative and healing way.

Patty: I am so sorry about the loss of your friend. You were blessed to have spent good quality time with her in her last days – a very wonderful thing. I'm sure she left this earth counting your friendship among her finest blessings in life.
I love this card. As you know, this tree pattern is one of my all time S/U favorites.
Blessings on you, darlin'.

Dear Patty,
I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your dear friend! Your words certainly expressed your deep sadness. Although, I didn't know her….she was much too young to pass away now. My heart goes out to you. I understand your loss….I recently lost my brother, Tony, to cancer at the young age of 55.
With deepest sympathies,
Pat
You are in my prayers at this sad time. Gloria
Hi Patty,
Just read your blog at lunch. So sorry to hear about Ali – so sad. Is there anything that the family needs that I can do to help in any way? I will take part in the next fundraiser for them, but let me know of anything else in meantime.

Thank you so much everyone for your thoughts and prayers. The next two day will be very difficult for her family and us as friends. Having great friends like all of you certainly helps more than you know!
