Today’s project is the genius of my great friend Lucy T!! She is my “wing-man”! She is the one that always helps me put the final touches on creations. This one is all her own!
The technique is called in-laid embossing. How do you do it? Easy! Lucy cut a bunch of circles using her various Stampin’ Up! circle punches. (3/4″, 1″, 1-1/4″, 1-3/8″, 1-3/4″) from all of the new 2011-2013 “In Colors”. In addition she used her Big Shot Machine and the Top Note die to have a framed focal point. Using her snail adhesive she placed the circles all over and layered them. The final step is to place the top note (with the layered circles on it) into the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and run it through the big shot machine! Putting it through all layered causes the circles to be pressed into each other and into the top note resulting in the in-laid look!
Great work my friend! LOVE IT!
……………. Until tomorrow!
THis is very cool. You could do variations of this for wall art in frames, to pick up colors in your furniture, etc. Inexpensive idea for dorm room deco!
