Thank God for Lucy’s Generator power! |
Hey everyone! I am back!!! I am finally getting my situated after having been in the dark for 6 days thanks to “Irene”! Normally on Monday, I have an MDS project to share; however, this week I just haven’t had much computer time. I have been working hard on my 130+ swaps for my upcoming trip to Founder’s Circle! I had to do them mostly in the dark then my friend and downline member, Lucy, invited me to her place to work via generator power! We had a lot of fun out on her back deck with extension cords and plenty of bright sunlight to work with!
I don’t know why my picture is sideways…..but you get the idea! lol
After several hours, we managed to get all 135 of the cards done!!
The stamp set that I chose for my Founder’s Swaps is one from the Idea Book & Catalog called, “Forever Young”. I LOVE making vintage-type cards and couldn’t resist this stamp set as soon as I saw it!
The image was stamped with Black Craft ink and then sprinkled with black embossing powder. The card itself is Crumb Cake card stock and run through the Big Shot machine using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. The accent colors are Cherry Cobbler, Black, and very vanilla. They are accented with the Antique Brads and finished offf with the color spritzer tool!
Wow Patty glad to see you've hung in there. What an ordeal. I can't go 3 hours without power and I get antsy, just can't imagine 6 days! Your cards for Founder's Circle are beautiful. Love the colors and the stamp set you chose. TFS!
Hi Patty,
My name is Diane and I'm a new demonstrator in the Mass. area. I subscribed to your site and I had to write and tell you how great it is!! I'm so glad that you have your power back and I'm so profound to see what determination you had to finish your project even without power. Your card is absolutely amazing. It has elegance, beauty and great colors. I am so excited about starting this new hobby and can't wait to get going with it. I am a disabled woman in a wheelchair and I am trying to get workshops set up in my own home because I can't travel elsewhere. I have my first party booking coming up in a couple of weeks and I'm a nervous wreck. But anyway I wanted to write and say how much I enjoy your emails. Do you post directions for any of your creations? May you have a great week and I'm looking forward to seeing all your emails in the future.
Thank you
