Hey everyone! Today’s project is just…a little note!
This project uses the stamp set called, “You’re My Type”. It is from the Occasions Mini Catalog.
The card is created from Very Vanilla Cardstock. The second layer is basic black, and the DSP is from the big idea book and catalog. I believe the DSP is called Newsprint.
I stamped the typewriter on very vanilla cardstock with basic black ink. I cut the image out and used dimensionals to mount it to the card. The ribbon is wrinkled across the front of the card for a reason. How many of you actually typed on a typewriter like this? Believe it or not, I did! I first started typing when I was in the 5th grade. My typing teacher’s name was Mrs. Dumas. We had Royal typewriters that had a ribbon that the metal keys would strike against revealing the letter on the paper. Sometimes the ribbon would get a little wrinkled! That is why it is wrinkled here!
This card idea came from Rachel, a demo friend from PA while I was at Leadership Conference a few months ago. Thanks for sharing! It has been a big hit with my monthly club members, as this is one of our projects this month!
………………. Until tomorrow!
I love this card, I think it is a cut idea. It reminds me of my grandmother.
