Happy Thursday! I hope that you all had a wonderful 4th of July yesterday! I know that we did! A bit of sleepin in (the first time in my two weeks of vacation!) I did a 5k run on Tuesday night so I decided to take Wednesday off! Don’t worry…I’m back at it this morning for a 3 mile run and then my training at the gym with the boxing team tonight!
We did have some rain late last night which makes today’s share all the more relevant!
When the new catalog came out, I have to tell you that the very first stamp set that I just had to have was this one…”Bootiful Occasions”. I absolutely loved the rain boots and knew that I just had to make a card with them! Not to worry; I have already made swap cards with the halloween boot and I have a prototype done for the winter boot for my stamp clubs! I LOVE this set!
I created the clouds on this card using a scrap piece of cardstock and the 1-3/8″ scallop circle punch. I punched a scallop circle out and the used it as a mask while I sponged up some pool party ink and rubbed around the mask to make the clouds. The boots were stamped in Staz-On ink and then colored using the Cherry Cobbler and Pool Party ink pads and my blender pens. This is one of my club projects for the month.
