Often times I am asked, “how did you come up with the color combination for this project?  For today’s project, I am happy to say that I used our amazing color coach.  I recently purchased the additional cards for our 2012-2014 In Colors.  I went to the Summer Starfruit card and found this combination:

  • Summer Starfruit
  • Elegant Eggplant
  • Baja Breeze

Using very vanilla cardstock, I made a landscape card –  5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″.  I used the new stamp set called, Everything Eleanor.   I must say that when I stamped the flourish (in summer startfruit) in the center of the card, it was very hard for me to cover it up.  I loved the way it looked with the special edge that I put on it and the flourish all by itself.  Speaking of the beautiful edge, it is one of our brand new edgelits!

I then used another image from the stamp set and the baja breeze ink.  I stamped it on vanilla cardstock and then used my paper snips to cut it out.  I mounted it with dimensionals and then stamped the beautiful flower in elegant eggplant on vanilla cardstock.  I cut that out and mounted it with dimensionals as well!  The final result is absolutely beautiful!

This is another of my club projects this month, and I would LOVE to show you how I did this!!

…………… Until tomorrow!
