Hey friends!  I know you are probably wondering why I would be showing you a patriotic home decor item when summer is nearing an end??!!

Well there are many reasons!  First being this is the last of my Decorative Tray Club designs!  I can’t believe that we have been together for a whole year already!  This “club” formed last fall and we met every month for a year so that the gals could have a different themed insert for each occasion that may arise.

My second reason for the patriotic theme is that our little town of Moosup, CT is the only town left in the USA that celebrates VJ Day.  We have a HUGE parade to celebrate our veterans and honor those that have fallen.  It is always celebrated the 2nd Sunday of August so I thought it was fitting for us to have a tray to celebrate that too!  The 3rd reason is that Labor Day is quickly approaching and that day too reminds me to be patriotic!  I think that of all the tray inserts that I have created, this one is going to get the most use!
