Special Thank You Notes
For those of you that are regular blog followers or those of you that know me well, you know that January was an especially difficult month for me. It was the month that we lost the matriarch of the Chenail family. Dad passed on January 15, 2019 after a 6-month battle with congestive heart failure and other complications. Although we are still processing our loss, I can say that in his 86 years he was able to experience almost 30 years of retirement, a marriage of 62 years, four wonderful children, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren! He travelled, loved golf and fishing, and passed his love of beer tasting to all of us children!
I can’t thank the masses of people who came and visited, provided food, shoulders to lean on, and the many many many that came to pay their respects. We truly are blessed with some wonderful people in our lives!
Once the dust settled, I had to take on the task of creating a special thank you note for family members to send. This is what I came up with!
Up Close Look
This project is TRULY the epitome of #simplestamping!! I used the pre-cut/pre-scored note cards with coordinating envelopes to create MANY of these!
I stamped using our Tuxedo Black Momento Ink Pad because I wanted to use our Blends markers to add a touch of color to the image.
As you can see from the first image I posted, dad loved fly fishing. I have is old lures and his old fish basket! They are pictured with my card. I couldn’t be happier about having this great stamp set as part of our masculine collection! Did you know this stamp set has coordinating framelits?!!!
Be sure to come back and visit me because I am creating another fabulous simple sample with this product bundle!
Coordinating Envelopes
When it came time to put them in the envelopes, I just had to put the finishing touches on! Doesn’t this basket look just like dad’s?!!!!
A final thought…..
I created this collage to remind us of the beauty of a lasting love! The first photo is, of course, on their wedding day, the second was taken at Christmas (just 3 weeks before his passing), and the third was taken the day before he left us.
Remember, you have but one life to live; make it something your family can be proud of! Dad sure did that for us!
